It is cold, brrrr! It has been raining off and on for a couple of days now. The rain only intensifies the cold to me. The next few days also looks really cold. Daytime 40's and nightime 20's. That's cold for here. Roads could ice over so travel is limited. Time to snuggle up with a blanket, read a book or watch TV. Stay safe everyone

Thanks Jazzy and Maxi! Well, I don't have work tomorrow and it's only 24 degrees out. Jazzy, I hate the rain! I just had the brilliant idea of putting socks on! Duh! I take them off at night to put Vap-o-rub on my toenails, which had fungus but I am down to two toes that have a slight bit of discoloring still. I am drinking lemon ginger tea to warm up. I had to put a towel in my kitchen door because it was too drafty. My handyman wrote. He can shovel me out tomorrow for $50. So far, I don't need him to do that but it's only going up to 29 degrees tomorrow and I want to get an oil change and my feeling about Goodwill was right and so they are having the $3 and $2 deals tomorrow and I would like to go. The only thing I should have to shovel is whatever the plows do to block me in. Shouldn't be much from the looks of it. I talked to a friend for 1 hour and 23 minutes. We don't talk often but when we talk, it's for over an hour. She was instrumental in me getting Informed Delivery through the USPS and assistance through the State of NJ for electric and gas. Today she gave me bad news. I thought I was getting $749 every quarter towards my taxes but I am getting that amount for the whole year. Bummer! When I moved here, I paid $48 a year to the Civil Association. Sometime around 2013, there was a lawsuit about the dams and the residents lost and now we pay $640.32 every year. I think only one dam has been repaired. It sucks! I went in one of my spare rooms looking for a door draft stopper earlier and found my cat in the closet. Little stinker! I've seen him come out of that room 2 times but I didn't know why until today. The whole room is filled with my stuff. It's an obstacle course. Anyway, I ordered 2 stoppers from Walmart that were on clearance. It only let me buy 2. I wanted 3. So I am using towels for the time being. I'm going to slip some boots on and go outside to see how much snow has accumulated near the street.

We get iced down here in North Texas. The high will be 28 today and tomorrow warmer to melt the ice so we can drive. We typically get snow and ice every few years but it shuts down all the freeways, etc. You can't shovel ice nor can the big machines remove the ice. They use the stuff on the major streets beforehand to keep them more slushy.

hasty, good morning! My yard could have been used as an ice skating rink. It's still bad. It's 8 degrees here now. It's 5:30 a.m. My handyman and his crew bailed me out on Monday but it was too late to go anywhere but i was happy to be free on Tuesday. Just be really careful out there.
