Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
We didn't have any money back then....so I use to exchange with a friend. I watched her kids a few days a week and then she watched mine....and I could take naps or get things done that needed to be done. It really was helpful.
If you have a few extra dollars and you can't find someone to do an exchange.....hire a high school age gal who can take your kids to the park or to play in the back yard or other part of the house so you can nap a few hours a day a few days a week.
Tell him to either grow up and get his big boy driver's licence, or leave town. No way you are taking him to work ever again. No way you are getting him from work ever again.
Tell him you already have three (?) children and don't need another nocturnal wayward idiot child too big to tan his hide, so he needs to shape up, or ship out.
Full stop, end of story, close the book. If he can't let you sleep, he can't let you live. Do you understand that you will actually die without sleep?
There is nothing you can really do with that schedule....except...maybe if you force yourself to accept the situation as it is right now....it will become a little easier...to know that it is going to end eventually....may help.
Your emotional state is ALL about your sleep and it will pass. I assume there isn't a way to get a babysitter for the whole weekend? So that you can rest?
I suppose if your b/f could get a ride home from work he would be already right? That would be wicked cool because then you could sleep thru at least till the morning...You say you take him to work at 9:30am...is there anyway a couple days a week he can take the car (if you plan ahead for what you need for those days) and then you can catch some sleep on those nights?
I always heard in AA (alcoholics anonymous) that no one has ever died from lack of sleep.
Because a lot of complaints in AA is that people can't sleep after they quit drinking so they want to drink...and people say all the time...no one ever died from sleep.
So bridgie...no disrespect at all...I'm just curious where you heard or read that you can die from lack of sleep.
Apart from that, the boyfriend is being a total feminine hygiene product starting with D and ending with ouche. Sorry, but he is. He wants mummy to take him to work and collect him? Why can't he get himself to work like everyone else alive on the planet?
Let him go home and live with his mummy if he wants to be babied. If she'll put up with his babyishness. She certainly is the only one who deserves to have to put up with him. He needs to grow the firetruck up or take a long walk off a short pier. I personally wouldn't care which. Selfish, coddled, demanding. This lady already has children. She doesn't need one more.
Sorry if I appear to be blowing my stack: it's because I'm blowing my stack. This is appalling and this poor girl is so exhausted she can't think straight. Somebody needs to stand up to this guy and tell him to get off her back.
There is a reason that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture. It is effective at breaking you down completely.
