Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hello Everyone,
I hope your 2022 is going a hell of a lot better than mine. Seriously.
You guys ever see the movie Inside Out and that scene where Riley's different islands in her head start turning grey? That is what I feel like my head looks like right now. Why? Well let me tell you.
First of all. This year has been shit. There I said it. It sucks.
December-January my mom had covid and that was the scariest and most anxiety I've felt in a long long time. And then she got better, and then January my dog got diagnosed with TCC cancer at 7 years old. And the diagnosis happens to be given the last week I am working at a temporary job. So my last two paychecks went to paying for vet bills and her medicine to keep her comfortable because the tumor she has is inoperable. I am jobless right now, but have been applying to part time library jobs (because that is what I am in grad school for, and want to get my foot in the door now), but no responses have gotten back to me. I'm so stressed out with school as well, especially because I just started two new 8 week classes because I am going full time and have scholarship that I want to make the most use of. I just feel so hopeless as of late, so anxious, so stressed. Like I had spring break this past week and the entire time I couldn't really enjoy it because I was so damn stressed out. I don't feel like anything is going my way. I feel like just as the sun starts to come out of the clouds, there's another storm. No significant break in between. I'm just so tired.
I'm doing my best by damn best and I know it, but I feel as it doesn't matter because I feel like I've been kicked down.
I honestly think this is the lowest I've ever felt in my entire life, and its hard to stay positive.
But yet, I keep trying to push through, even as life continues to throw shit at me. I keep telling myself "I just have to get through this week" every single week, but it doesn't get better.
I know its not a bad life, it's just a bad time. But I will push through as I always do.
I hope you all are doing well in your own challenges.
Best,
Blue.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

2. You managed to handle the changes in your fur companion and take care of it financially. That's success.
3. You are sharing the things you have success in, that you are working on, and it's impressive.
Keep on keeping on, you're doing better than you realize!
Sorry about your dog’s diagnosis. That’s really hard.
