I am almost deaf, so I had to learn this to keep from going in circles trying to find relief.
Is the noise bothering you inside your head, your body, your bones?
Is the noise making your skin sweat?
Is the noise stopping you from moving?
I start tapping my toes, my fingers to get rid of the "having to stand still" sensation.
I take a drink to help feel cooler, since the skin sweating is sometimes mild dehydration which can increase anxiety.
I do shoulder rolls, to help loosen the muscles in the face, back, and that gives me a direction to what needs to be more relaxed.
Learning what the body and brain senses as "fear" with the noise will help reduce the impact of the panic.
