Hey everyone,
ive just joined. I'm in the midst of a panic attack and just needed to be around people who understand.
i really struggle with waves of extreme anxiety. My main trigger is my cats health. The second anything seems slight out of the ordinary I go into meltdown mode for a good few days.
i just wondered what you guys have found that works. I'm on the max dose of fluoxetine, I've been through CBT twice and I've tried everything I can think of to calm myself down. I just can't talk myself out of my own stupid thoughts.
sorry for the huge ranty long first post. Any helps would be massively appreciated xx

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Trying to "talk myself out of my own stupid thoughts" has yet to work for me. The more I beat myself up for my stinking thinking, the stinkier my thinkery gets. Being gentle with myself and giving myself a few positive affirmations in place of calling myself stupid goes allot further.
I suggest you keep posting here and see where it takes you. Rant freely. Rant often. No limits on length.
