Try to keep yourself busy until the job starts. Keep your mind occupied with other things. Write in a journal, too.
If your anxiety is real bad, or persistent, please call a psychiatrist and/or a therapist. They can really help with anxiety.
In my own recovery road, day 5 without decent sleep is sleep deprivation country. Several of my med and psych pros have told me with great confidence that sleep deprivation floods your physical system with some of the most powerful, all-natural drugs known to Science. Yea, starting a new job was among the triggers for my sleep deprivation levels of anxiety. I fought that demon for ALLOT of years. I was the only one getting black eyes during that battle.
