Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi, I am new here, looking for a community of support & hoping I can also help others. The last 3 years have been very difficult for me - losing both my parents & suffering an injury. All these events have been life altering. I am suffering anxiety regarding my job. I have been there 19 years. It is very stressful & demanding. I have always had some anxiety from the deadlines & demands, but it has gotten much worse. I am especially in a pattern of Sunday night anxiety. Every Sunday night I have trouble sleeping, I just stress out about work. I am ready to retire, but my husband won't agree to it, even though we have no debt, and would really be fine financially. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and need to rest. Any thoughts?

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Keeping a journal will help you figure the pattern of pain movement so you can work out those first movements to release naturally.
Make a positive Sunday night routine to help you relax and be prepared for the next day.
Stay hydrated, keep moving gently, and know you are doing wonderful! Best wishes!
It took 5 years for me to get disability, it took an attorney to get it done. Fibromyalgia was my primary diagnosis then the panic attacks, overweight, OA, and several other problems. Not able to see a Dr. due to being unemployed also made it harder, until I found a free clinic. They saved my life.
Have you talked to your Dr. about any of this? He can help or suggest a specialist for your current condition. Just don't wait too long and tell your husband what a happier household he would come home to everyday. When Momma is happy, everybody is happy.
Last Thurs I had a new therapist at PT. He asked me what I did for a living, and gave me tips on supporting my back & posture. Then when he touched my neck he said, kind of alarmed "Is there any way you can retire in the next few months? I feel so much arthritis in your neck & if you can't we are going to have to do things to protect your neck." When I told DH, we had a good discussion, and decided I will retire May 1st. I felt so happy & so relieved!! Then yesterday when I told someone DH said no it won't be that soon. Then today I told our son & again DH said no, we aren't rushing into this, that is too soon & we aren't doing it. I have decided I am not backing down. We need to discuss it like 2 adults in a partnership. Not one bullying the other and acting like a grumpy parent. So I am sure he will be screaming & yelling 30 seconds into the discussion, his way of "discussing" (a topic for another day). I feel being screamed & yelled at for the last 30 years has contributed to my health issues. So, I will be submitting my retirement notice at work tomorrow. Please keep me in your prayers.
