Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I have been on DS for a long time, mainly in the depression and alcoholism forums. I have Pure "O" OCD and mild Tourette's syndrome. There are groups here for both, but they are slowww! I deal with alot of anxiety due to intrusive thoughts of suicide and sometimes other violent thoughts. Intrusive means I don't like them and they spin me like a top 24/7, the thoughts are totally against everything I believe. But it makes me wonder, WHAT IF... I lose control? Which after reading about OCD is highly unlikely! I am religiously against suicide or homicide...Lol and have strong beliefs to the contrary. Anxiety is never ending. Most of my days are spent combating these thoughts and reassuring myself i'm not crazy. I have known for abut 5 years now I had OCD, but lately I feel like a tornado has ripped through my head! I have a psychologist, but going to see an OCD specialist Monday. I'm ready to try ERP, this is insane. I'm pretty much paralyzed, I try to do something and my mind wanders, next thing you know I'm watching TV...and obsessing! I have been getting really strange head rushes that come with a short ear ringing. I take 300mg of Luvox, which has held it off for a long time, but it has stopped working. It never really registered with me that OCD could get this bad until now. I have been reading stories on the net and WOW, I'm not the only one. I can't talk to anyone about this except my mom, I'm 46. I told a life long friend about it and he looked confused! I could tell it didn't go well! Lol Not many people in the real world have ever even heard of Pure O OCD, never mind all of the mind f...ks that go with it! I just find it hard to find support, this is a rare form of OCD. I did find a site called OCDaction in the UK, I joined it but waiting for confirmation. I guess I just came here to vent, because I'm spinning right now, I have to tell someone how I am feeling, my head is about to explode! I know this is not the OCD forum, but can anyone else relate? Thanks Sly

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
