Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
This is the Anxiety group which is always active and there is a Bi Polar group two Maybe join both and double your chances of support.
thank you carolin57. ive joined both and actually all the groups that i think apply to me at this point. as with most on here im sure, i was diagnosed with multiple disorders bipolar and anxiety just 2 of them
Do you take medications for your bipolar. I take abilify and then two anti depressants for down times. Tiredness is one of the main side effects but I keep myself out of bed by writing a short list of things I would like to try to achieve each day.
The cannibis will help calm you on the more stressful days. I have had some family stress this morning, (I am in the UK) and I could use a smoke right now.
Hopefully you're day will improve just a tad knowing Ds is here to help, support and listen. I have a few really good friends from DS. No one judges which I like.
Welcome to DS.
Did somebody say there are Experts here? ? ? Ye gads! ! ! That explains allot.
One of my early therapists described himself as, "I'm just a high dollar reference book. I never leave the library and your goal is to get me back onto the shelf as quickly as possible." He preferred facilitating support groups over individual therapy on the theory that peer support is where we could learn how to put his high dollar reference books to work in the day-to-day aspects of life. Peer support works on experience far more than expertise. The man reminded me allot of Donald Sutherland's "Hawkeye" in the movie, M*A*S*H. Every psych pro I've shared that analogy with since then has stolen it as an analogy too right for copyright limitations.
There are copy and paste experts here, but I haven't noticed too much pro authoritation. There are far more humble folks sharing personal experience and the support is priceless. Hope you find that so, as well.
Welcome aboard.
