The cardiologist said I could get a beta blocker to try to "calm" my heart but I didn't want meds for that. I asked the cardiologist, "How many PVCs a day is too many?" And he said, "How many is too many for YOU?"
Meaning, the PVCs aren't a medical concern - they're only a concern if I have too much anxiety about them. Knowing that the cardiologist wasn't concerned, only me, helped me calm down about them.
I know I cause them. Even if I seem to be anxiety-free at the moment they occur, I know that my body has been swimming in anxiety hormones over the last day, week, month...

He said palpitations aren't your heart doing anything different. They're your heart doing what it always does, but for some reason you're aware of it. Palpitations are your mind being aware of what your heart does already, they are not your heart doing something new.
Hang on to that thought. Every time you don't die from heart palpitations, focus on the fact that it clearly, logically speaking, doesn't kill you. If it was going to kill you, you'd already be dead.
Hang on tight to that thought. :D
