Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I feel like I let my mom down. She's mad at me because I miss school at least once a week telling me I'll never be successful in life. I worry about school a lot (I'm a junior in high school) and I hardly focus on my family. I feel so horrible. The reason why I'm mostly absent is because I hate school the way people make fun of me, how I have no friends...I feel worthless. Another reason would sometimes be wanting to be absent because I would stay up all night doing my homework that sometimes I need extra time on my homework. So I would stay at home not letting my mom know when she's at work.which makes me feel so anxious and sad... I just don't know what to do. I have always had good grades before but now I'm falling apart and all but my mom has high expectations of me...

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
if you're having a hard time with homework tell mum, and teachers. Your mother nags because she's your mother, not because she hates you. She rants and threatens and all that rot because it's the skillset she's got right now and she's trying to get you moving.
Without knowing what's wrong, she's using the wrong tools. It's not a lack of love. you can take her love for granted. it's a lack of knowing all the facts and knowing what to do.
She clearly loves you and you cannot be a disappointment to her no matter what she says. We parents - we don't always know what we're doing. In fact we live in terror. Especially those of us who work because we can't be there to help. Forgive her, let her know what's going on in your life. and maybe start going to the school counsellor also.
This stuff is awful but your generation has so many more tools to help you turn it around than mine did. In my day it was just sort of 'shut up and suffer' and I think a lot of people suffered absolutely needlessly when there were solutions available that nobody thought of.
they've thought of a lot now, so you just need to access that.
