Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

So as you can guess by my title my ex husband is sick. He and I have 2 children together and I have 1 from a previous marriage - Kevin and I met when my son was 3 months old so we have 3 kids... Anyway, we didnt work out married at all - hence the divorce - but i still love this man dearly, he is my best friend and i visit him as often as i can in the hospital. I am sitting here waiting for my daughter to call me this morning to go see her dad. I am angry, I am anxious, I am worried. I am angry that the kids dont seem to concerned? I would go on my own but my current husband has the only car we have at work. I should have taken him in. My husband knows I see my ex - thats not an issue. Kevin has been declining for a few months now, he just has a hard time caring for himself, feeding himself, he has copd among other things. when he went to the hospital last week he was down to 92 pounds - i have asked about cancer and he doesnt have that. he is unable to hold food down. he didnt eat for a week. anyway he got to the hospital for a couple days and then one of his lungs collapsed and his lungs kept filling up with fluids and he had to be put on a ventilator to breathe for him. and a feeding tube was inserted. Last night the ventilator came out and now he is able to talk - kind of , his throat is sore i am sure - but now he has the damned icu deliriums so he is fighting the nurses, his 3 iv lines, doctors, everyone. he is normally such a generous gentle soul. it is weird to see him so aggressive. anyway i dont know i needed a place to vent, im sorry. i am worried sick about this man. i am worried hes going to die on me very soon. i dont want him to be alone. i want the kids to be more active in his final time. i have a ton of shit rambling in my brain. im getting grouchy cause i worry so much. and i owe my husband time and attention too but im just so damn grouchy. i pray someone out there understands :( i dont know what im going to do when hes gone. i love him. so weird to have a good relationship with an ex but we always have. maybe it was for the kids? maybe it just worked out that way? i dont know but its good. thanks for listening. and if you have any words to deal with grief, and loss and how to deal with someone dying i would love it! i dont know how to deal with this - alone.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Best wishes.
Grief and loss is tough on me, and I don't know what the best choice is in dealing with it. What I did was be around family, try my best not to isolate myself and give into the mood swings which almost always push me away from everyone. Sharing and supporting others helped me cope the most in the past.
People tell me to focus on work, or an activity to keep my mind busy, as time heals all pains, but I was never good at that. I face it, share it, and went to therapy to find peace with it.
It's one of life's toughest challenges. I hope I helped a little bit.
I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You're not alone, at least not here.
