Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hello,
I'm feeling both really frustrated and mortified right now. I went to a bank to do the simple task of opening a business bank account for an online-based LLC I just started, and because I ended up being ill-prepared and didn't know stuff I should have known, I ended up getting really nervous. I was worried that the employee was judging me for my disorganization and then got scared again that she was judging me for being so noticably uncomfortable. I'm going to finish off this process so I don't waste this lady's time by shutting down an application that could be still be approved, but I left so mortified.
I don't think my anxiety has ever been this bad until recent years and I don't know what I can do to go back to being more well adjusted. Especially since I'm on medicine for anxiety. Any advice?

Most people don't really care about strangers. And will forget about
your problems at the bank quickly.
My advice is to keep sharing about your anxiety here, as it comes up. Anxiety thrives on isolation, secrets and pretense. Having a place to share about it, openly and freely, sure can help in taming that savage beast we call, Anxiety.
Gentle empathy on the bank scene. I get flustered easily in banks, too. One renegade detail and I'm ready to buy a ticket to the Twilight Zone. Anywhere but here. I've had several bank employees and accounts assure me that's pretty normal, but. . . Tell that to my anxiety. The beast don't listen so good.
For sure, you're not alone. Welcome aboard.
When it comes to bank, you're the client, their job is to help you. Guess what? In order to help you to gather information needed to properly fill out forms to complete the business transaction, they have to ask questions.
Venting here is safe to acknowledge your feelings.
Not being prepared for the unknown, this is the first time you've worked with LLC requirements, it's better that the bank asks questions. There are a lot of details that often get forgotten in this process, and some of those little details mean the difference in a successful business.
You did it! Hurrah!
