Hi friends :)
A few months ago, I started having a tingling and pain in my left shoulder. It has since radiated to my breast, ribs, and side. It even runs down to my hip sometimes. I have seen the doctor about this 3 times. They have sent me to physical therapy, given me muscle relaxers, and pain killers and nothing helps. I went today and they finally took some xrays ( which I am sure will show nothing because I have had them done by my chiro) which is a start. Anyway, I have been told this could be attributed to anxiety, but I can't wrap my mind around that. Anxiety causing that much trouble in my body? My muscles?
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has had similar problems and if they have been resolved? I'm tired of living in pain!!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

The first step was to separate the pain levels, origin, and length of pain. By the time I got some relief, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, had a bout of shingles, and am in CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) to help me move past the "stuck" reactions in certain processes.
Three things I would do to help figure out where the "real" pain is coming from. First, use a stick drawing to help you see the way the pain is moving. Second, check your posture, balance, and when your pain level moves, observe your posture and balance as it is, right then. Third, decide what you want the pain to do-how do you want it to leave you (I know, it sounds strange, however, with anxiety, physical movement will make the anxiety part of the physical symptoms disappear naturally, leaving you with the aches, tensed muscles, etc).
Best wishes. You have taken the important first step to helping reduce the pain. You are not alone.
