Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I am in the process of reading a really good book called 'The Power of Your Subconscious Mind'. It is not focused on or all about anxiety, just making your subconscious work for you in general, which happens to be where our anxious thoughts and self-defeating behavior come from in the first place.
For any who are interested, I just wanted to share a few parts of the book. I found that using these practices has helped me a lot since putting them into place. Here goes...
"It has been said that people's greatest enemy is fear. Fear is behind failure, sickness, and poor human relations. Millions of people are afraid of the past, the future, old age, insanity, and death. But fear is a thought in your mind. This means that you are afraid of your own thoughts.
A small child can be paralyzed by fear if a playmate says there is a monster under the bed who will grab him in the night. When the parent turns on the light and shows the child that there is no monster, he is freed from fear. The thing he feared did not exist. In the same way, most of your fears have no reality. They are merely a conglomeration of sinister shadows, and shadows have no reality."
"You are the sum total of your own thoughts. You can keep from entertaining negative thought and imagery. The way to rid darkness is with light; that way to overcome cold is with heat; the way to overcome negative thought is to substitute the good thought. Affirm the good, and the bad will vanish."
In the book the author suggests repeating a positive affirmation to yourself each night while drifting off to sleep. He states the the mind is its most impressionable in that state of "drifting off" because its function is minimal and it is not distracted.
He even suggests either along with the positive affirmations or alone that you envision yourself as you want to be..."see" yourself doing the things you are afraid of with a look of peace and calm rather than fear.
By doing these things you will alter your way of thinking and therefore become the person you desire.
Hope this helped!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
