My pdoc and I decided Xanax was not the right medication to manage my anxiety but I need to stop taking Xanax before replacing it with anything else. That was a month ago. I've been completely off of my Xanax for 3 weeks today! I'm doing deep breathing, exercise, coloring in my coloring books, reading, journaling and watching movies with my family (we have movie night on Fridays with popcorn and everything!)
I'm talking to my pdoc on Skype in a couple of weeks to give her an update. I'm a little nervous because I'm not sure if she's going to put me on a new medication or give me DBT workbooks to help me manage stress. I don't want more medication. I'll tell her that and see what we can do to keep me healthy.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. Medicine was necessary for my OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Once I was medicated I could concentrate on CBT. Medication isn't always
a bad idea.
