Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My anxiety is definitely at a high.
things are bothering me. But I usually don't get physical symptoms but I have them.
Heart is racing, sick stomach, dry mouth. Some of these I haven't had in ages.
I also noticed my dogs front paw looks a bit swollen. He does have arthritis in other parts of his body and his rear ankles (hocks) are where they first found it and they are swollen and hard. He is on pain meds. And supplements. So of course now I am worried about his swollen front paw area.
im tired. Very tired and want to cry.

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

Not hungry at all which is fine for me to take a break from eating. I ate a small lunch.
Lonely sad and then the physical stuff. Not a good day. I have this pit in stomach like something bad is going to happen. I hate this.
just a theory from a certified nut job. . .
continued support while you work your own theories.
on high alert for so long. The good thing is you recognize the physical symptoms as anxiety related. Being aware of the mind/body connections is good.
Of course though I am a bit worried about my dog. Although nothing seems to bother him and you really can’t even see the swelling but of course I found it.
I would really recommend getting a handle on the anxiety symptoms, best you can. By relaxing, not worrying, de-stressing, etc.
Not easy to do, but really needs to be done, Marian. This constant stress and worry you have, can cause big health related issues (trigger warning - heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes...). Please start doing something that de-stresses you and that you practice calming yourself. Maybe meditation, yoga, walking, watching something funny on TV (laughing releases good chemicals).
You need to look out for your health too. Stress causes so many health problems.
Dog is acting totally fine. He has arthritis in a few places thinking this may be a new pop up. He goes to vet for his well visit in a couple weeks so they can check him over then. If anything gets worse I’ll certainly go sooner. He’s almost 8 and people think he is the younger dog as he has tons of energy and rarely sleeps during the day.
Anyway. Of course I’m still worried about him. Trying to calm myself over it. Talk myself into a good place.
I had to make the words "What If" off limits. It was hard at first. The following is a stupid story but, bear with me. I used to dread being stuck at a traffic signal. I would picture my self losing control and wrecking my way through the crowd just to get out. One day I realized "The light has to change or all the cars would have skeletons in them" The vision was so laughable, I haven't had that issue since. Now what can I do about elevators?
I just feel like it’s something new every day.
I really wish I could just be left alone for a day or more.
Waiting for the night to come
