Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Just a few minutes this morning before getting ready for work. Me and the new girl found ourselves with no work to do.
As my boss has said time and time again that I would be taking on more duties, it never happens. I believe they want me there only because I'm convenient for when they leave town. Yesterday, I resumed applying for other jobs. It's not good for my self esteem to go a job, sit in a room with no windows and have no work. Im done. When you reach a point of not caring anymore, it's time to move forward.
We have been getting alot of rain here in FL as of late. I dont think my stargazers will bloom this year. I will try moving them to the front covered porch and see if that helps. I have been neglecting my gardening as of late and it shows.
I was walking the the grocery store yesterday and went down the greeting card aisle. I decided I'd mail a encouragement card to my brother and started thinking that it's been years since I mailed letters or cards. Sad thing is, I had to ask him if received his mail at home or at the post office and he asked me why?
I told him a was sending him a card. When I was a kid it was a treat to get mail. I miss those old ways...

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I don't know... some people might say you have a dream job.... getting paid for doing nothing at all.... no stress, no pressure, no deadlines. Maybe try to look at it as having a job that millions of people would love to have. Look at the positive parts of it. No doubt that someone else will jump at taking your job position when you quit.
But I get that you need more of a challenge. Keep applying to other jobs. Set up those interviews.
Nothing changes unless we change it :)
Many years ago, I had an office job that was very slow every Friday. I would get there at 9:00 AM and I would literally be done with my work at 9:10 AM. Now what am I going to do for the next 8 hours? So I cleaned up the place. Cleaned the break room, restocked the coffee stuff, cleaned my desk and the contents of my desk drawers, sharpened all the pencils even, went outside a couple times and walked around for 20 minutes.... I mean, you can probably find stuff to do there. And we didn't have cell phones or internet back then! So I really had nothing to do! LoL.
I just got a hand written note in the mail myself yesterday from my boss who is leaving my company. Her last day is tomorrow and she dropped a note just telling me how much she appreciated working with me. It was a very thoughtful gesture and totally unexpected. There are a lot of big changes happening at my company right now and while I’ve been through these kinds of changes before throughout my career, it still creates a lot stress for everyone, myself included. Anyway, her sending that note did my soul good.
I think sending a card/note to your brother is really a beautiful gesture.
These days I often find myself wondering if the art of card sending might be old enough to be new. Just wondering. . . Don't accuse me of understanding the fashion scene.
Make friends with change. It's the only thing we can count on. ~Chinese proverb.
I don't think we'll be saving teh postal service in my generation, but just like we brought back knitting and crocheting as a cool pastime, perhaps card sending (and card making) will have a vintage heyday run! :) Get somebody to make it cool and hip and add a wacky twist to it and it just might.
