Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I have moved to America from overseas July of last year. I'm finding it incredibly difficult to fit in. The college I'm in doesn't always feel like the right choice. The programs just don't always seem like they are what I expected them to be. I brought my horses with me to college and I use to be so successful and now due to the coaching find that I'm going downhill. I want to transfer but it was an agreement with my parents I would wait until after my sophomore year which I understand I need to give it a chance. I just feel like I can't relate to a lot of people here and no one really understands. My boyfriend tries to be incredibly understanding but with a lot of circumstances, he isn't always there when I need him. I feel like I am trying to depend on him when I need to be an individual for myself but right now he is my only escape from the pain and lost feeling. In a month he is moving 10 hours away and It is causing me to even feel more lost and left. I just want to find a solution but I don't know how to.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I can relate, I mean I came here at a young age and without the luxury of horses but I can relate to the difficulty of relating to anyone. I felt like everyone had inner dialogue and inside jokes that I never understood. That feeling goes away after a while I guarantee it. Like you said, it kinda sounds like you are depending on your boyfriend. I don't see it that way, I see him more as an aid to your anchor, to your safe place. I suggest you find a safe place within yourself, and if things did not meet your expectations see it as fascinating instead of frustrating. Imagine you are discovering a new part of you a new place. You are not alone, you have yourself. The solution isn't there to find. You have it already, it will just take some time and getting used to it. Be patient with yourself and know that you are strong and adaptable. Join a club or an extracurricular activity, do things you wouldn't usually do. Enjoy this opportunity, it is up to you, and that is the scary part. Be confident in you and your ability. Where overseas did you come from?
