I think the word you are looking for is "catastrophizing." Since I can spell catastrophizing far more easily than I can say it through my speech defect, I like to call it, "doom saying." the therapists who worked with me on my catastrophizing symptom liked doom saying better than watching me try to get all those twisty sounds over my trippy tongue. By whatever name, girl howdy, it is one mean symptom. I go at it so bad that when life hands me something nice, I can't enjoy it because I'm too busy watching for how I'm gonna lose it.
