Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. There is research that suggests long commutes are very unhealthy and take a toll on the body. I would suggest making sure you get a lot of exercise and perhaps try yoga. There are probably even some yoga techniques you can use in the car to help release tension in the muscles and focus on your breathing. I think in the long run, you should think about moving closer to your job or telecommuting if it is at all possible.
