Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi I'm a 21 year old female and I have never been in a relationship or even been on a date in my life. I'm in my last year of college and I still have never been asked out or exchanged numbers with someone I'm interested in. I'm not the partying type and I am not interested in hookups at all. I'm really scared about what my dating life will be like after college. Am I screwed? No one wants to date someone like me. I have never had someone other than my parents tell me that I'm beautiful. It's hard to have self confidence when no one is there to make you feel good. Even the worst people I have ever met have managed to find someone.
i think about suicide a lot. I keep thinking that I will kill myself if I haven't found love by a certain age. I'm not a patient person so I don't know how much longer I can wait. What's the point of living without romance or finding love? I don't know what to do.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Have you tried online dating? Have you ever met anyone you fancied? What activities have you tried to get to know people? What social groups have you joined?
I think it's a little early to top yourself; 21 is not very old. I certainly wouldn't do it before you've got a job. You never know who you're going to meet when you start working.
I recommend going out with friends if you can, to nightclubs if you can. Get out there. Be seen. You won't meet a guy sitting at home. However you do meet them at the gym, the library, at sports clubs, music groups, art classes... the options are pretty broad.
You have to go places by yourself, knowing your anxiety is also your strength. Keep a journal, practice going to a place by yourself just to observe what is happening. You're not trying to meet people, you are meeting yourself first.
Best wishes!
Try to be patient when it comes to finding the right person for you. I does take time but it will be worth it.
Wish you the very best!
