Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Aside from ignoring "trolls" we can also block them so we never even see their posts or recieve private messages from them.
I agree with you Erica71....just ignore them and they will go away. They can't argue with themselves if you don't answer them.
I have never understood the point in engaging in their game...and so I don't and I encourage others to do the same so things can get back to normal (whatever that may be) and more important matters can be addressed.
Scrooge ~ Thank you...I probably should have followed a 10 second rule on this one and not posted so hastily but all I know is that when people are coming here feeling discouraged, defeated and disheartened....with panic and anxiety attacks....I'm figuring the last thing they want to see is some type of drama on the boards. This should be a safe haven for all of us to share our troubles concerning anxiety. It is a condition that is very real for every single one of us and I think it's disrespectful to have any drama anywhere on these boards. Anxiety carries with it...it's own drama....we don't need anymore.
It is far to easy to have someone who does not know what is going on, read these posts and get the wrong impression about DS and its ability to provide overall support.
Even if you feel you are being singled out, address it privately. I have been on a few forums where this has happened in the past and all it does is create stress for ALL members, including those that have no direct connection with it.
Fortunately, though, we may not have a CL here, but someone is watching out and removing unnecessary posts. The rules may not be entirely effective, but at least we are not being entirely overlooked now.
Thank you whoever you are for keeping this a safe playground (or at least as safe as an open forum can possibly be). And DO NOT stop checking in on us! :)
And even though you may not know what is going on, just be mindful that this is a free site and occasionally you will get individuals that like to prey on the innocent. It happens. Just find the courage to address it properly and tactfully. Or simply IGNORE and BLOCK and the person may get the hint that they are not desired here. The more you respond and react, the more you feed into their agenda. Try not to let others arguments trigger you and understand it is between them.
Following standard protocols, you can go about this a few ways....
Sambod has been a very helpful CL from the outside looking in. You can try to private message her and see if she can help.
Also Jesse is very active DS administrator:
