General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hello!
I'm not much of a sharer, particulary with strangers, but I am a little fed up with life right now (not suicidal, just really annoyed). I work full-time and am in school getting my masters, add that to the responsibilities I have to my family and I am pretty much burnt out. I ended up on this website as part of a class project, which, in only the first two weeks of class, is driving me crazy already. Basically, we're supposed to observe group therapy sessions and while there are a variety of in-person groups in my area, none of them so far are willing to have a student observe. Adding insult to injury, one of the things that really revs up my anxiety is having to enter into new situations; so I'm stressed about finding a group, attending a group, and, oh yeah, if I'll get a good grade on the three assignments tied to the observations.
All I really want to do right now is forget every last one of my responsibilities, crawl under my covers, and stay there. But being irresponsible makes me anxious too. :(

Hello- I am new to the group

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...
Best wishes.
