As you are just recently unemployed, you're likely to find another position doing what you love but it is anxiety provoking to be fired. First, getting fired just stinks and second, it means things are changing. All the things you were used to, in one department of your life, will change.
And for those of us with anxiety, it can put us into a temporary tail spin that is pretty unpleasant.
All that said, perhaps you can think about some places that you'd like to work that you know of. Where do people seem friendly and nice - where your anxiety is not triggered? Another's doctor's office, a dentist, a vet, a chiropractor? But instead of looking for job postings, go into places you like and tell them, "I have always liked your office and the way you do business and would love to apply for a position if you have anything open." If they say "We aren't hiring" you can ask them to hang on to your resume.
Most jobs are filled by the time they're posted.
