Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Please don't worry about me. I'm very afraid of death.
I'm just trying to figure out how people live their entire lives in a constantly anxious state? I've had constant anxiety from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to sleep for almost two months. I'm very mentally exhausted and some days I don't want to leave my bed. People at work are hard on me because I call in sometimes. I'm tired of constantly feeling on my edge, weak, sick, like I'm about to drop dead. I've been reading books on anxiety, one about acceptance and I'm trying. I guess I just don't know HOW to accept it...
I just want to feel like my old self... I used to be fun. I loved to play video games and relax with a glass of wine and watch horror movies. Now I'm constantly thinking about this stupid anxiety... I've started medication and it's helped but I'm still not myself... I refuse to take benzodiazepines because they make me feel very out of it and it makes me panic more. I'm in therapy and practicing CBT but I'm still not feeling great...
Any tips? :(

Our retirement did the same thing with age 65 vs 67 also if...

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

In many ways I feel luckier than the folks who experience adult onset anxiety. I wouldn't go back to my old self for all the wishes in Wishlandia. Yet another round on the not-so-merry-go-round of anxiety doesn't feel as tragic as it did way back when I could still get by on my looks.
I can think of many things to 'share', however, none of those fit the umbrella feeling that you are holding in your hand over your head with a rain cloud over you.
That particular one, I experienced for a long time, and CBT helped me tremendously over time with all the homework assignments and the process of being a part of this online support group.
You are not alone.
Has anyone done any partial hospitalization treatment for anxiety?
I would soooo love myself back. But wondering what that good self is like these days.
