one of the places i drive myself crazier is with questions like, "which came first? the chicken or the egg?" am i irritable because of my anxiety or am i experiencing anxiety because of my impatience and irritability? the longer i ponder the conundrum, the crazier i drive myself.
i try to let it be enough that i dislike my irritable impatience enough to look for actions i can take to manage the condition. i most often find those actions in the "self-care" drawer of my psychotherapy tool box. taking care of my strictly personal needs goes a long way toward giving me more patience and serenity.

Anxiety is natural, and it's a part of our wiring and energy. When you turn the key over, the wiring connects, and energy is dispersed. In 'doing thinking', I'm using energy and sometimes, the wiring gets crossed, and it comes out in an unexpected way.
That impatience...comes from 'thinking'. The desire to have the job done is 'doing thinking'.
In changing the way you look at the way your impatience displays itself, you can use it to 'help' better.
