i am currently seeking my clues in those calm moments. the claxons and strobe lights haven't gone off yet, but sometimes i think it is in the ability to take life, the good, the bad and the ugly, on life's own terms.
One person mentioned they were able to use the trick of laying down on the floor in a dark room, and feeling the path from their head all the way down to their toes.
Another individual shared that they used the bathtub after soaking to feel the path from their head to their toes as the water emptied from the tub.
It all depends on what you feel as 'quiet', 'calm', 'peace', 'tranquility', and then move outwards from that feeling.
This was a classroom assignment in college and I use it as an example when I think it might help jumpstart an idea.

Meditation and mindfulness are a 'practice' that must be cultivated just like going to the gym and training your body. Watching your thoughts and learning to let them go offers more awareness of internal dialogue. You learn that all of your thoughts arent true at all.
Awareness of thoughts allows you to fully focus on the present and not be impacted by outside forces.
