General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I do have a dr. Appointment on Monday to get it checked, but according to my therapist this can happen with anxiety and I wanted to see if any one here has this issue also.
I will be relaxed sometimes even sleeping and my heart rate will jump up racing to like 102 beats a minute. It does freak me out. I will then try and make myself relax. I don't freak out. I tell my self it will pass. Sometimes that helps sometimes I just freak out after 20 minutes.
SO does anyone else have this problem. I do smoke. Today is my last day. I am quitting tomorrow and I smoke a half pack of lights daily. I don't drink or do street drugs.

102 is nothing for me.... It's actually just the high side of normal..... My heart reat can jump to 130 beats per minute easily during a panic or anxiety attack and has been caught as high as 150 once when I went to the ER very early on after being diagnosed. Hope your tests all comeout fine :)

also, I was 1 1/2 pack a day smoker until this past June. It's been about 9 mos and I have noticed no difference in my anxiety or my symptoms

Thats not high for me either. Anxiety definitey causes the heart rate to go up. I had all the tests done on my heart, stress test, holter moniter for a month, etc and it was all normal. It was all due to stress and anxiety. They put me on a beta blocker to lower heart rate, but after about 6 to 8 months I went off them because they really didnt do much for me. You have to learn what calms you when it happens. It took me a long time, but I finally figured out what works for me. And just think, when you exercise your heart rate gets up to 140, 150, 160. The heart is made to handle this. Good luck!

I agree with the others.....102 is not a very high heart rate. When I was in the hospital with my twin pregnancy, I was on a monitor all the time, and whenever I was anxious, my heartrate was up in the 170's. Even at that, the nurses never got concerned.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
