Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm 22 years old... What is the likelihood that i am having a stroke? I have had these same symptoms for about 4 days now..
I'm sick of obsessing about this.... :(
You could try asking your doctor about the migraine spectrum of symptoms. Epilepsy is also included in this range of diagnosis.
Lastly, I am not a doctor,or even a medical student. I am somebody who got little help from doctors until I took some responsibility for myself. I went looking for things that made sense in the light of what was going on with me. Google is an amazing gift to those of us who cannot afford the high prices charged by the healers today. If you can be in this community, you can research in the same way. I implore you to do so, and to ask people on line who seem to have similar stories how they cope.
You do not have a fear problem, you have a faith problem. You can start by having some faith in yourself, and then work outward from there.
May you have peace in your heart.
It sounds like you have been checked medically in the ER and you are fine. I have been a physical therapist for 23 years now and I never saw a 22 year old stroke victim.
Usually you have factors such as undiagnosed high blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking and age. Go to your family doc if you want to and get checked and have your blood work done. Overall though I think you are fine.
Hope that helps.
My body is soo tense from being anxious about it... I cant stand it anymore.
Try to do breathing exercises, this does help me temporarily or write a journal, lavender as someone else says helps, aromatherapy, chamomile tea, these all seem simple, but for some they really work.
I am on many meds, only one for anxiety and now lyrica for FM and the Lyrica helps somewhat for anxiety.
Focus on something else, go for a walk if you it is nice outside, hang out with your pet, watch a funny movie, and if you are that concerned go to a neurologist, I did, and they still have not found out anything about my nerve hand/arm issues, but these things take time. sorry if i am all over the place, but I can relate. Not all doctors are created equal!
You are having dialogue that is clear and focused. I had a friend who had a stroke and he could not communicate at all, let alone type so stop worrying. He was also in his forties.
Try exercise, yoga, progressive musclse relaxation, and meditation. Take a hot bath with epsom salts to relax your muscles. Get someone to give you a massage.
