Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Finally got to see the doctor yesterday. He was able to answer my question. No. I do not have Asperger's Syndrome. But, he did say I can have it if I want to have it, which was strange... He said I am just trying to find out a way to be special. Being an Empath himself, he taught me some tricks I could learn. If I practise using my empathy, I can be 'special'. He told me everyone is special in his and her own ways. When God looks down at all his children, you stand out because you are special. Everyone has their own unique gifts and talents. I just have a harder time accepting that I'm special. Everyone in my family is an artist or just really good at art and I have no talent whatsoever. Everyone in my family is able to write books and stories and it's harder for me to even get past the first few chapters. I'm an identical twin but my twin doesn't like being a twin. We don't share a powerful bond. I can't feel pain when she gets hurt. I'm not a prodigy. I haven't broken any world records. But, I just finished my afgahn I've been working on for over 2 years. I have two cousins who love me so much I don't even have to speak for them to have fun. One of them hugs me SO MUCH. (Don't worry. I like it.) I have an above average IQ. I choose to be kind to everyone, even those who hurt me. I don't like to judge others.
One of my cousins is believed to have Asperger's Syndrome and now that I've researched so much about it, I was able to see that Minecraft is his special interest and so we talked about it and he was really, REALLY happy. I believe that to be a miracle, no matter how small.
The doctor told me I am really, really shy. That is true. He told me "Don't change that. Boys like that." The doctor is also a chiropractor and he was able to work on my back and ribs. Now, I can lie on my stomach without my back hurting when I get up. Now, I won't have random moments when it's hard to breathe. We're going to try to keep seeing him to help with my Trichotillomania. He said I pull out my hair because I don't like something about myself and I'm trying to pull that something out of me. We have to figure out what that something is so we can address it.
One funny thing we learned is that apparently, I am allergic to Gordon Ramsey because of how much he swears. I don't even watch him. Me being allergic to him manifested itself in cheese so I thought I was allergic to cheese but it was really because I was allergic to Gordon Ramsey. It's weird. I know. How we learned it was he told me I thought I was allergic to something when I wasn't and he asked me what that is. I said milk and he changed it to cheese. He told me to tell him the first person who popped into my head when I say cheese and it was Gordon Ramsey so he made me explain him. I said "He's a cook. He swears a lot." That was when he stopped me and said "Did you see how you jumped when you said that? You don't like it when he swears, do you?" So, really, I'm allergic to swearing and that makes complete and total sense to me because swearing affects me so much. I'm really glad. I love cheese but I though I was lactose intolerence but I am not. The day before, I had had a stomach ache from using milk I wasn't used to but that's because we usually get A2 milk and my grandma doesn't have that.
He also taught me how to control my emotions. He said emotions are not sins. Being sad is not a sin. Being angry or scared or any other emotion is not a sin. Don't let them take over. You have control. His exact words were "Breath deep. Breathing is good. Breathing is always good. Did you know 9 out of 10 doctors reccomend breathing?"
Again, feeling emotions that are negative is not a sin. Just try not to let them control you. You have the upperhand. Use that advatage. You can do it. You have always had the ability to do it. If you don't believe in yourself, that is just your heart and the adversary lying to you right now. Remember that I believe in you. I extend my love and support to you.
I know this might not have made sense but I just wanted to write it down. Have a good day and respond your thoughts if you'd like.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
as "the spectrum" evolved, the suggestions suggestions that i be tested intensified and i actually looked into it. the "tests" remind me allot of the "tests" you find in teen magazine to judge your social butterfly potential. i agree with you doc. i can be an aspy if i want to or any of the other spiffy specials on the spectrum. i don't want to minimize the important work which has been done for the autistic community, but claims of autism do seem to have hit the fashion scene as ways to set yourself apart.
i'm thrilled to hear that your doc went on to talk about empathy. i think i like your doctor. if he was easier to reach, i might even consider closing my medical distances for this fellow. maybe. . . i didn't much understand doctors even back in the bad old days when i could read their lips.
