Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I am freaking out so bad right now. All of the sudden things seem so unfamiliar to me. I feel so confused. I know where i am. I know i am in my apartment. I know whats what. But i feel like everything is unfamiliar!!! I am seriously freaking out right now. I am so scared i am loosing my mind, or that i had a stroke and am now confused. Does anyone else ever feel like everything is unfamiliar to them, but yet its not? Please tell me i am not dying of a stroke (my biggest fear right now) or going insane!!! I am very terrified right now! Everything just seems so strange to me. I am hoping this is anxiety and nothing more. Please someone tell me i am not alone and thats all it is, unless i am going psychotic or confused from a stroke and dying... :((((((

Take deep breaths. It's a panic attack:-). Something must have happened to trigger you :-). You are not dying :-)

It doesn't feel like a panic attack. Every thing just looks so unfamiliar. It scares me so much. I don't know what happened to have me feel this way. All i know is i feel extremely confused and it scares me so much. I dont want to die :((((

It's part of the post traumatic stress...I get this way.....everything becomes hazy and usually when I am more tired than usual. I recognize everything around me but I'm detached from it. It sounds like you may be under extra stress. Being a mom can do that to you :-).

Yeah, i dont know . It just seems like everything looks different and unfamiliar... its almost like i feel like i dont know where i am, but yet i do... Its really scaring me :((( I wish it would go away....

It will go away ....you are not alone. I came home and on the way home I saw a man taking a dump in the street. I had to ask myself if I was seeing things but I have moments like you are having. It feels like my head will explode especially with the migraines. Getting some rest should help you a lot. Hope everything goes well and if you are taking meds....maybe something for anxiety will help :-)

Migraines are scary. I get the ones with the auras.. Maybe i feel confused because of that. But i dont know. I wish this feeling would go away now, its really scary. I dont like it at all.

I understand. It is scary. I've seen green and purple most times my migraines occur and the tunnel vision is horrible..

I have gone through exactly what you are talking about. It is anxiety with panic for sure! You're not dying though it may feel like it. And no, you're not going crazy. My psychologist explained to me that when the brain becomes overloaded, usually the things that seem most familiar to us become confusing to us or we don't know what they are for. When that has happened to me, it is because something happened to cause it--usually too much stress or an issue that I was running away from and didn't want to deal with. Sometimes, journaling helps with this...Hope that this helps you!

This is common anxiety derealization and can also be joined by depersonalization. It can make things real spooky and at times seem evil but it is just one of the lovely gifts of anxiety and it has no bearing on your sanity....people who are insane dont know things are strange they think it is reality!!

Often there is no trigger it is just one more way for a raw nervous system to act out. When the nervous system comes down this wont happen
