Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

We rationalise away our cowardice, talk ourselves out of doing anything about it, and manage to dump on those kids over there having a good time whilst somehow making ourselves seem higher quality and less superficial. I mean certainly, it's a great 3 for one deal.
But it doesn't really make up for the isolation, and in fact it only increases it.
The best thing to do is what Tired says. Deal to the anxiety. Talk to the counsellor or doctor, see what can be done about getting you over this social hump.
I would encourage you to be yourself! Hopefully you will be able to find kids that you can connect with and relate to that can be supports for you through these grueling years. Have you found any extracurricular activities that you are interested in? That could help you meet people with common interests as well as possibly help with some anxiety.
I am sorry you don't feel your parents would take your anxiety seriously. What is helpful for you to calm down when you do feel anxious? I know for me journeling, doodling, and coloring are really helpful (and these are things you could do while in class if need be.. and if teacher permitted)
Good luck! I hope you are able to find a comfortable place in school... it's not easy, but know that you aren't alone in your feelings of high school being really hard socially!
