Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I was going through a box full of my old stuff and I found an old anxiety journal. In it, I wrote alot of helpful tips. Just thought I would share some stuff I wrote with you all.
*Stay Focused on each moment at a time as it comes to you
*spend a few minutes noticing all the sensations in your body at the moment-touch,smell,sight, and sounds
*when thoughts about a task ahead enters your mind, simply acknowledge the presence of those thoughts and move your attention back to the present
* Remind yourself that thoughts don't reflect reality and experience; they are only thoughts.
*when you notice disturbing thoughts about the future or past, try just observing them, notice how interesting it is that your mind spins thoughts like these out, and return to the present moment.
* anxiety tends to make breathing shallow and rapid. try this breathing exercise:
1.) inhale deeply through your nose.
2.)hold your breath for a few seconds.
3.) slowly let your breath out through your lips. Include a low hissing sound if you want
4.) repeat process for a minimum of ten breaths.
* anxiety can be distressing for the mind and body. Try soothing both with a hot bath. Or ask your partner for a massage.
* ask yourself these questions next time you feel anxious:
is this really worth me getting anxious over?
Am I making a dire prediction without any real basis?
How many times has anything bad really happened during an anxiety attack?
* Listen to music
* Evaluate what's important and what's not. examples:
Friends
Family
Happiness
Good Health
Spirituality
Success
Wealth
Knowledge
*Exercise
research shows that exercise burns off adrenaline in the body. Leaving you feeling calmer afterward. And it decreases anxiety, depression, bad cholesterol, blood pressure, and chances of a heart attack.
*Don't wait for willpower. Just do it!
I hope this helps!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
