Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hello! I’m new here. You guys can call me Trixie or Pink or whatever :) I’m here because I kind of don’t really know what I’m doing anymore. I’m 21 in uni with a steady boyfriend, so like everything should be peachy. Trouble is, as most of you already know, it’s not really that simple. I’m gonna post a more detailed explanation in another group which is more appropriate for this kinda talk, but long story short I’ve been left with anxiety and depression and paranoia thanks to something that happened last year.
There’s no one in my life that I can really go to about my mental health stuff, except for my boyfriend. But it’s really not fair to dump all of it on him. I’m hoping that talking to others who understand where I’m coming from will help lift my burden a little.
Sorry this was so long. Just wanted to do a quick introduction but I guess I got carried away,
tl/dr: I’m TrixiePink and I’ll be staying with you guys for a little while.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Emotional support sure makes a big diff in my own symptom management. Hope it helps you, as well. Welcome aboard. I hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
Addendum:
Your intro wasn't too long by DS measure. Rambling, ranting, venting and complex sorting allowed.
I'm also in college suffering with anxiety and depression. The one person I talk to most about my problems is my boyfriend and I also feel unfair that I dump all my emotions on him sometimes. He tells me that it's fine and that he enjoys listening and helping me, but I can't help to feel bad. He helps me a lot during my moments and I'm super grateful. If you ever need to talk things out, I'll be here!
