I get them a lot when laying on my side, and sometimes when I'm really tense or walking in a hurry. Or if I move my chest muscles/upper body a certain way.
I don't know if you define "flutter" like I do - usually it feels like it speeds up for a few seconds, goes really fast. If that's what you get, just cough deeply as soon as you feel it. The "skips" where it feels like your heart stops or skips a beat (and sometimes the next beat is really hard) are PVCs or PACs depending on where they originate. If your heart is functionally healthy, these are benign conditions, even if you get a lot of them.
If you've had EKGs or an echo or stress test and they all show normal, then you've got nothing to worry about. The trick is getting your mind to accept that they're OK. If you can do that, you'll notice them less.
You're definitely not alone!
