ive had mine for a year and its horrible after a drink, ive never been on meds so i cant comment on that , but what you describe seems very anxiety like and you arent alone here ! when my head tenseness is high, i usually feel a tense ear also .. i imagine that when your muscles and nerves are tense there is no reason your ears couldnt be ! very normal anxiety :) .. best of luck to you
If you find you're still tense, slowly move your head around to loosen the muscles, then puff out your cheeks to help loosen the face, and see if that helps.
If it feels worse after eating or drinking, check your shoulder posture to make sure you're not hunching over (that can bring on the same kind of sensations).
