Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Havent posted here in quite a while, its early morning, we've had nothing but car troubles since Gareth bought a car from our next door neighbours dad, we've had to be recovered three times, our next door neighbour who is a mechanic has 'fixed' it twice. Never had a car that caused so much money to be wasted on it. So its going to be scrapped.
Gareth pounced on the car because we could afford it straight away, so he wasnt without a car. I feel he was talked into it by our next door neighbours, who have also fixed it for him, I dont drive. So its cost us quite a bit of money, one way and another.
Also Gareth has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, he starts his radiotherapy next week, the day after our brother in laws funeral. He is having 4 weeks of radiotherapy 5 days a week for a month.
This feels like one problem to much, over the years I've been through my daughter being born with a heart problem, she eventually had a heart transplant, in britain you can only have one after that you go to palliative care. My dad was in and out with cardiac problems frequently on the critical list, my mum had non hodgkinsons lymphoma, she survived a year, and now gareth has prostate cancer.
I dont know how much more I can cope with. All I seem to have done is nursed various family members, emma is now 28 years old, and cardiacally is doing well.
I myself have medical issues as well, which seem to be pushed to the side.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Your own health issues can't be pushed to the side any longer. We women tend to do that. Please think about how unhealthy it is for you to not take care of yourself first.
What is that saying, like in an airplane we have to put our oxygen mask on first and then help our neighbor or child. If we help them first, we run out of oxygen and then can't help them.
I am glad to hear from you and I hope you can rethink how you see yourself. Change from seeing yourself as always last and always giving to others. It is time to give to yourself. Gareth can also give to himself. You can help him some but don't drain yourself like you do. Because you are valuable, too.
And the car thing, sounds like a nightmare. I hate car problems. Drives me crazy. I do drive, my husband does not drive but he mostly takes Uber (ride share) everywhere.
Anyway, please let us know how you are doing next week. People on here care about you.
