Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I hate feeling guilty for something I shouldn't.
Last night I was supposed to go see a movie with one of my best friends. She and her ex live together and share a car and he picked her up from work yesterday like usual and he asked her if she wanted to go see a soccer game. She said she didn't want to. She ended up falling asleep in the car and he brought her to the game anyways. (That's what she told me.) I don't have any reason to not believe her but something inside me told me she wanted to go to the game and didn't wanna hang out with me. I went to the movies by myself which made me super anxious cuz I don't like being in public alone but I had already bought my ticket.
Later on she texted me and I told her if she had wanted to go to the game she coulda just told me. She responded with "....." and I messaged her like 5 more times asking her to talk to me and I woke up this morning and still no answer and now my anxiety is higher than it's been in months. I feel like I had a right to be upset but now I just feel super guilty for assuming she had lied to me :( I messaged her good morning 15 minutes ago, she read it but hasn't responded and now my mind is racing because we have to work together tonight and I don't want her to ignore me the whole time :(

Jay gave us an assignment to complete the following sentence: I am stuck because? I don't describe myself as stuck, but to finish the sentence, I would say that I am stuck because I am tired. When I have energy, I do...
Just a just-a-patient vote. . .
Gentle support while you sort, Trichster.
No matter what is said, it does not change what happened.
Anxiety is our way of working through all the feelings, hidden underneath the event, and so, we do this to improve our well-being. We know that we will be more careful in the future making plans, more active communication.
Whatever her reason was, it was enough for her to do.
You work together, so work is professional and you want to remain on friendly terms, be friendly and positive and move forward in the work place.
Best wishes!
