Hi, I am new on here. I've kinda been feeling desperate at this point. I have been dealing with some heavy grief & anxiety. The anxiety outweighs the depression, but it is still there. Last September I lost my dad suddenly to suicide. We were best friends. I miss you so very much everyday. When it first happened I was coping ok, but the last 2 months it feels like a train hit me. A heavyyyy loaf of depression came on, & I was ready to give up. I am now seeing a Thearpist once a week, but anxiety has been so bad. I constantly feel "on edge", or like something is going to happen. I hate this feeling so so bad. My biggest fear is that i will be like this forever. I feel so lost. I just have a hard time seeing the light at this point. His anniversary is in a week, and I'm just waiting for the day that I lose it again. Please help. If anyone has any input or pointers I would love so much to hear it. Thanks much. & I send all positively & love to you all.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Writing it out is important first step in finding your better balance.
Grief takes many forms. Grief takes time.
Cherish the special moments and share them in a journal to help you through moments where you need the special moments to help remind you of that feeling.
Grief anniversaries are tough. The 1st anniversary of the traffic deaths of my youngest son (35) and his wife is in 9 days. I think I might be feeling the loss more now than I did at their funeral.
Gentle empathy. **They** say ^it^ gets easier. Wish my heart could believe that.
Those same brothers and sisters have also shared how gently leaning into their grief makes room for our departed loved ones to grow into a comforting presence in our minds and hearts. Emphasis on "gentle."
So **They** say. My heart still doesn't believe, but I am leaning on the faith of my brothers and sisters-in-healing until I can find faith to call my own.
For now? ? ? Ouch. . . Letting the tears flow. . . Reminding myself that tears are a shower for the soul. Shower often.
