Hi giys so i realized what has helped me. I like reading so just diving into a book, going to the library and just letting time pass that way. Also, exercising and giving myself a break. My doctor told me to do aerobic activity a at least a half hour a day. I have been going through a season of loss. Loss of friends, change of relationships, loss of my job a month ago. my best friend and i are not on speaking terms and i am really sad, as well as another guy friend (i feel like it was unhealthy for me and him to be friends anyway but still)...i realized yesterday its time to try to do some different things. Throughout this time, i am realizing that in order to make room for new in your life you need to let go of old things. im starting to get things out and talk to friends. Trying to follow my doctors advice. Im gonna go on a tangent here i struggle with drinking alcohol to cope. But what can i replace that with thats healthy?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

But it pays to take the time to grieve what you need to let go of to make room for the new. I believe the grieving process helps to keep us from throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater. Even piss and vinegar isn't ALL bad.
It sounds to me like you already have a solid plan for healthier coping mechanisms. Just be patient with the process.
Gentle support while you work your plan.
