Present this information to your insurance company and see what they have to say. You most definitely need to show that you have attempted to go back to work and your place of employment is not responding to you. If you still hear nothing then I would contact the labor department in your state. Make sure you have all your written documentation to send to them and file a complaint. Bascially it sounds like to me they wish to terminate you and might be able to do so however they make think twice if they know you are considering turning them in to the Labor Department.
You can also call around to different lawyers and explain you can't afford the legal expense at this time and they may be able to direct you to state legal aid which can help defer the costs and let you keep your insurance for a certain number of days until you can get back on your feet or else qualify for medical assistance.
Also contact social services and they can help you get into programs that allow rental assistance, utilities and other living expenses. You can also contact your pharmacy to apply for medication assistance. I know it is tough and can be frustrating but try and stay strong and take one day at a time as well as each problem one step at a time. Many others are in the same boat is you and the best thing you can do is start applying for all the help and assistance that can be provided. Wishing you much better days ahead:)
We have been living without electric for 1 month now. I feel your pain!

it is imperative that through the hard times that we keep doing those things that are good for us.
thanks to all for your kind words. i really love this site. i can just vent and spill my gutts with out being judged. i found out this morning from a phone call that my union rep is going to bring me a letter from management. i want to stay positive but i think it is going o be my walking papers. my rep did tell me the union said after july 27th there is nothing they can do to save my job. my fmla will have ran out by then. i used part of it when my husband as sick this year. he is being tested for leukemia. so far so good with that. one more test and if it comes back ok we are in the clear. i used the rest of my time for myself because i feel apart thinking the worst about my husband. they are not willing to let me come back and work part time to get myself back in the grove. i just hope that i dont lose faith but it is so hard. i am getting out today and walking by myself. i will either have a major attack or i will feel better from the walk. either way i am going to do it. i really want to be alone today to sort through things and see where i end up. i am going to trust god will lead me in the right path. again that to all of you for putting up with me.
Just remember that nothing is more important than your health no matter what happens. It's not worth it. Not your house, it's replacable, not anything you own, it's all replacable. But you life and your loved ones lives arn't and that's what really matters. Look for help now with agencies, organizations, churches, etc. Some are very willing to help you out, especially if you have minor children at home still. I don't so it has been me and my husband alone in all this mess. I tried to get workman's comp and I'm still trying to get disability. Keep fighting and don't give up and It will get better albiet it may seem like it never will and things may get even worse for awhile before they getter but keep the faith.
If you need someone to talk to about it, please feel free to call on me. I know a lot more about this kind of stuff now that I have experienced it and it is a bitch! Maybe I can help give adivce if nothing else....
