Has anyone else had bad results trying to get off this drug

I am just getting back on it right now. I just had a baby in November I got off my meds in the first week of Feb. Getting off this medication sucks you feel so sick and the crazy side affects. I don't like this drug but had no choice but to get back on them. I had dizzness, headaches, feeling sick, un real feeling.. Just plain nasty...

Not Cymbalta but I had a hard time coming off Pristiq which is the same drug class {SNRI}. My doc had me reduce by 1 pill each week for
7 weeks. Couldnt cut them because theyre time release . Took about
2 weeks after the last pill to feel normal. Coming off was like having a
mild case of the flu. Difficult but i got through it.

I tapered off cymbalta very slowly but it was difficult to come off, i felt like i had the flu and had brain and body zaps.
It worked very well when i was on it but like i say difficult to come off.

Any SNRI is going to be hard to quit, Effexor is probably the worst, with Cymbalta being a close second. My advice is to try other antidepressant before ever commiting to an SNRI.

I've seen the effects of SNRI withdrawls first hand from a person who just went three days without their Pristiq. I had to almost carry them to the emergency room, they could barely walk.And this was a 250 lb 30 year old male, and former Marine.
