Gabapentin(Neurontin)

Anybody try this for anxiety? Did you have success?

It is not an approved anxety medication and it can have a nasty withdrawal. Most of the posts I have seen did not think it was highly useful

My doc tried to put me on it but i didn't like how you have to take it all the time to make sure it works. I ended up just going with klonopin as needed
I took one dose nuerontin and got really tired.

did your dr give u this for your anxiety?i dont know anything or havnt heard it used it for anxiety- but i do use it for neuropathy pain in my face - i find it very useful and it has helped greatly with my pain - my dr has adviced me it is one of the safest and oldest on the market for a neuropathy pain- when i first took it or increase my dosage i will feel a little tired for a day or so - but for the pain relief that is not a big deal - i know this doesnt give you must help for your ? but i have severe anxiety - phobias- panic disorder- and my dr has never said anything about it for those issues feel better

For me, it works to reduce the nerve pain associated with anxiety attacks, and one of the things I have to make certain I do is keep hydrated, as mild dehydration makes me tired.

If the doctor is considering this medication for you, I would look into how the symptoms reflect the prescription of neurontin (gabapentin) to help you with your physical symptoms.

Ausbel, some docs use it as an off label treatment for anxiety and bipolar related depression, especially for those resistant to typical medications.
My doc is trying it for me because A) I've been resistant to tradition med treatments, and B) I dont want to take benzos..

Neurontin is what is called a Back Door benzo. It works on similar receptors and can have the same withdrawal

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!

    Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job.  It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it.  Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown.  There was a full length mirror in the changing room.  I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like.  It was a reality check.
