Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
How do you guys deal with feelings of going crazy? I know it's a textbook symptom of anxiety, but sometimes it gets so difficult to remember that it will pass and it will end.
Example. This morning I started stressing about something to the point where I was lightheaded and felt every emotion at once. I had to get up and walk around. I just knew I was going to have a mental breakdown at any moment, have to call out of work, and have to go to the hospital and they'd admit me. So basically this is my type of panic attack. The pounding chest and fast hr doesn't always happen for me. But lots of other physical symptoms do, and then the intense racing thought loop of going crazy.
I have been extremely stressed out lately. Currently living with an ex until they're able to move out, and we just broke up about a week ago. I feel very strange about it all. So I know that's partly why these physical symptoms are happening.
Anyways, I ended up making and going to a Dr apt today. Which gives into my hypochondriasis. So I feel better and a bit defeated.
But what do you guys think about those feelings? What are yours like? How do you break free?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I run for the stabilizing support of my therapy support network under crazier than usual circumstances. I attend extra meetings, make extra posts, extra emails, extra phone calls, extra self-care, etc.
Keep venting, Ash. Your answers are in there.

Just try to stay busy. Connect with friends and family. Going through a breakup is hard on you. Your feeling so many mixed emotions right now. And that's normal. That's why your having so much anxiety. You have a lot going on with the breakup. Just try to take each day and take care of you. Think about your happiness. And you will soon feel much relief in doing so. Deep breathing helps me. And meditating keeps me focused and calm, I hope you find your balance. Italianmomma4ever
I know what you mean, when I get a panic attack it is so scary and I feel like it will never end.
But... the panic attack does end. I take a little nap after, that helps with my mood and my mental energy of fighting off the panic attack. Those take a lot out of me!
Also, taking an occasional tranquilizer such as Xanax, Valium or Ativan can also help some people, with bouts of extreme anxiety.
I hope you feel better soon.
Also, as far as the ex situation. She said last night that I'm an emotional Rollercoaster that she wants off of. She's never understood my anxiety, and blames it as the main excuse for our relationship ending. As irrational as I can be sometimes, I know whole-heartedly that that is truly not the case
Thank you everyone.
Good for you!
What the ex said belongs to her and is her problem, not yours.
Here's to new beginnings and better balance.
