Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I have been dealing anxiety of all kinds for about 15 years. As well as deep depression. I've always managed to survive. My last major breakdown was about 18 months back where I left this constant anxeity for months. It's always centered around death and the meaninglessness of existents and it seems to come out of nowhere.
About a month back the panic attacks started again and now I'm back on medication which seems to be making things worse although I'm sure I will get past it as I have before. I spend my nights in constant fear of my death and the death of my love ones and the knowledge that I am powerless to stop it. During the day I can't seem to find anything that makes me happy.
I am waiting to talk to a counselor and reading many self help books in the hopes that something will take this feeling away. The pills are making me sick and I often can't bring myself to eat and every night I wake up with nightmares. I know this will pass as it has many times before but it's just really hard right.

pills. Do what is relaxing to you. Meditate, listen to music, etc. Over and over again. Hope you feel better soon.
Have you tried journaling when the thoughts are upsetting you? That's something that tends to help me really examine my thoughts and diffuses their power over me. Guided meditation (I use the Calm app) on a regular basis also helps me, but it takes practice.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. You're definitely not the only one struggling right now. The last few months have been the absolute worst for me too. I also started new medication and it's been a tough adjustment, but I think things are getting better. A lot of other people I know are struggling with their mental health more than usual thanks to the pandemic. But you're absolutely right, it will eventually pass. Hang in there, friend.
In my long, colorful psych herstory, the times my symptoms have seemed to come out of nowhere for no apparent reason have all proven to be spots where I have repressed myself so deeply that I have lost track of my own inner workings. Getting back in touch with those inner workings has felt allot like peeling a onions. I have to work through the layers of denial one layer at a time with lots of tears for every layer.
But that is me and every case is unique. . .
I hope you'll feel safe to sort your own case here. Welcome aboard.
