Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Yesterday, I went to get lunch at wawa, The cashier checkout was busy, So, I did the self-checkout (Which I usually don't do, (Cause of the sencativety of the barcode readers) Anyway, I thaught I would try it. I got a gatorade and hoagie, But, wasn't until I got home and finished everything, I looked at the reciept I forgot To pay for the gatorade. I told my parent's, My mom was like, Oh well, My dad was like "Why coudn't You pay at the checkout counter Like the rest of us?" (Which wasn't very supportive or understanding)
Sometimes it's like, My mother is a more understanding and supporive then my father, And viceversa
I was at the shore, and we were about to leave when I finished, So didn't have time to go back. And of course wasn't my intent not to pay for something. Next time I will just wait for a casheir. Im surprised no one said anything to me.
Im so embarressed,

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Your parents' response is their perspective. Your feelings about their response is your perspective. When it comes to your mom, you see the caring. When it comes to your dad, you see what you are sharing. Look for the positive to help you reset your balance and calm.
i let it come out in the wash for the big chains. for the smaller, independent operations, i stop by and make amends by letting them know i accidently shoplifted and will happily pay for my theft. i've been rewarded with some lively conversations and appreciation for that move.
So you made a mistake, you are human. Don't beat yourself up. Let go of the shame and guilt. I have done the same as you. Those self checkouts are sometimes difficult.
I am shocked you had a self checkout that wasn't being hovered over. But hey, shit happens! Just gotta be a little more careful next time. I'm sorry that your dad wasn't overly supportive. Absolutely nothing wrong with you trying something new.
Your mom said something supportive and upbeat and you felt a little better, people like that. If you can, its a good idea to be supportive and try to make people feel better. Sometimes people like you dad make such comments because they feel a little down.
Gentle hug <3
You feel bad as it is that the Gatorade was missed, and its OK. I know you won't make a habit out of sneaking other items out of self check out. Don't worry to much about it. It is just a Gatorade. If it makes you feel better, I had a cashier ring up me up for a $100 worth of groceries and I have no idea what he did but I never got charged for the groceries on my account. Even cashiers make mistakes too :)
It's interesting that stores can even prosecute for some something so minor like a Gatorade. But, again, wasn't my intent to leave without paying for something.
And The usually do have someone monitoring self-checkout's ......Atleast at grocery stores they do, In case these thing's break down (their not full proof) But, I Don't think anything will happen, Incase it does, I will tell them I will pay them back, if .

And the reason I am hard on myself, I guess I was brought up like that, Having to take responsibility for myself and action's
