Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm pretty sure that if I went to bed at a decent hour, I'd also wake up mid-sleep. I have done often in the past, and it's lead me to go to sleep very late to avoid it. I wouldn't advise this strategy by the way as it's a hard habit to get out of! There's an added pressure though, when you know you have to be up at a certain time in the morning, and the anxiety of it can feed the cycle. Do you struggle to get to sleep initially? What time do you usually go to bed?
Thanks so much for your reply. I have no problems falling asleep usually. I typically fall asleep within five minutes of laying down because I am so exhausted. I usually go to bed between 9 and 10pm
I have noticed depression can cause loss of sleep
It definitely makes it hard to focus...in fact, between my anxiety and depression and not sleeping, I cannot focus at all. And then I get scared I'm going to fail.
Unfortunately, I am gone on campus all day for classes, so I cannot nap. Wish I could, but I've never been one to nap easily during the day anyways, no matter how tired I get.
Thanks so much for your caring reply.
I didn't know what to do. Then I got sick and was taking nyquil and viola I was knocked out and stayed out. Once my cold went away and I no longer needed nyquil I got that zquil stuff and only took it on really rough nights. It helped me for a while and eventually I didn't need it anymore.
Can't say that it lasted though. I still have trouble sleeping. If you're mind is racing or you're worried before you go to bed try meditating to relax yourself, maybe that would help.
Sorry I don't have better advice!
