I have bad panic attacks whne I have to confront someone. Tomorrow I have to confront my apt.managwer about getting my parking spot back that he has been using because we finally got a car and he has been using our space. I am kinda scared to ask him and my hubby is not really any help with this he expects me to do this stuff. I vacsically have to handle every thing myself. I am kinda upset about that because it makes me getting better and depending on other people hard to deal with.
So anyway How should I do this? I mean right now we could get twoed because of where we are parked.

deep breaths, it's okay. he's someone you have to confront, so that will make you nervous. just remember that it's not a big deal, and think good thoughts. also, go in confident and sure of yourself, and maybe even practice in front of a mirror or with your husband if he's someone who's willing to play along.

Confronting people is scary for anyone. What is the worse thing that can happen, he says no? He gets upset? That is not anything you have control over. All you have to do is tell him and know it will be over in minutes. Imagine yourself as someone else who you know that is strong and confident and do what they would do. Take a deep breath and do it. For that moment you are strong. Afterwards give yourself permission to feel the nervousness. And make sure you pat yourself on the back for doing this.

I'm going against the grain on this one. I would ask with a note under his door, or wherever he will find it that is private. The good thing is, now you have a peaceful start to getting your spot back by asking if he got your note. I have GAD, and recently started having panic attacks, so I know how much different they are than just being "stressed out." I think that it's out of the pan into the fire if you are already this upset about talking to him, and then to go straight to him and ask.

I was thinking the same thing as Kitkat. If confronting him in person is going to cause you to have a panic attack then it might not be worth it. A note may get the job done and help ease your anxiety.

Try doing it friendly like. Hi XYZ my husband and I finally got a car. We r so happy we needed one so badly. Anyway, looks like we need our parking space back. When can we be able to start using it.
