I was just wondering if anyone else has done any research on antidepressants? I was reading today and found some interesting information. I was wondering why my meds keep pooping out on me. Well just a little background on me. I have been on 14 different meds in a period of 23 years. I was reading that long term use of any antidepressant will cause the meds to start pooping out on you and also kill your brain cells. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this? I have noticed I am not getting what I need out of my meds. I think I am at a point they have all stopped working. I am going to talk with my doctor to start tapering off my meds. I will find some other way of dealing with my anxiety and depression. I am really scared I have done permanent damage to my body from taking these drugs. Just want input from others good or bad. Here's my thoughts on antidepressants, I have needed them to fight my depression and anxiety, without them I would have been in agony and led a painful existence. So if they end the end they do some damage (and there is not clear or overwhelming evidencing saying they do), at least I had a more peaceful existence while they worked. It sounds like you have had years of help from them. Think of where you would have been without them.

They have helped me very much in the past years. I have just noticed recently that they stop working a lot faster than they did before. I am really not sure why and have been searching for some answers. Thanks for your response :)
